The 4x4x4 Full Fluency Framework ©

This is not just another "magic" language learning method.

This is a framework - it guides the teacher to choose the best method based on the student's needs, psychology and learning preferences.

The principle is simple:

Every person is different in how we perceive reality, and this influences how our brain learns new information.

Basically, we all have preferred ways in which we learn faster.

We just need to discover your preferred way of learning languages, and adapt the programme to optimize every minute of learning - all in a scientific way!

If you learn languages by singing, we'll do a lot of singing.

If you are shy and don't want to speak, we will work first on your other skills and coach you to overcome your speaking anxiety until you become confident enough in English.

This is what makes our programme the most effective in the world for any student:

it does not impose a specific teaching or learning method.

Instead, it diagnoses the student's strengths and weaknesses,

and finds the best method to help the student progress in the fastest possible way.

Instead, it diagnoses the student's strengths and weaknesses, and finds the best method to help the student progress in the fastest possible way.

The framework has 3 blocks. Each block has 4 pillars or stages.

These elements were identified after more than 10.000h of research and talking to 100s of English teachers and foreign executives across the world. These are the elements that REALLY make the difference to become a FLUENT and CONFIDENT foreign business leader.

Normal English courses only focus on some blocks or pillars in this model.

Our programme was designed around these 3 blocks, coaching you on each of the 12 pillars, to guarantee the fastest possible results.

Block

1

The 4 stages of learning a new skill

In 1960, three management professors at New York University realised that learning any new skill requires going through 4 necessary stages or steps. This can be applied to the learning of ANY skill, not just languages. Think, for example, driving a car, skiing, or even tying your shoelaces!

Unconscious Incompetence

You don't know what you need to learn. The teacher/coach will help you create a plan with clear goals.

Conscious Incompetence

You make mistakes and you know exactly what you need to improve, but you don't know how to do it.

Conscious Competence

You are able to do the tasks correctly and without mistakes, but it takes A LOT of energy and time.

Unconscious Competence

You can do the tasks naturally and without errors. It's easy and you don't need to concentrate much.

Every word, every expression, every grammar structure needs to be assimilated through these 4 stages.

The catch? You cannot skip any stage!

Unfortunately, most teachers are not aware of these 4 stages, and lessons are not designed to make you move from one stage to another. This makes learning more difficult and more uncomfortable - imagine the teacher asks you to run before you are even able to walk!

Block

2

The 4 pillars to learn and use a new language

This is the most important block. It has 2 transversal pillars, and 2 vertical pillars.

The transversal pillars are our own psychology and communication skills. Our ability to learn and use a language depends on these 2 pillars. They are like the basement of our "building". If they fail, everything else falls.

We then build the first vertical pillar: the language pillar. We learn the words to express our ideas (vocabulary) and the rules to structure those words (grammar).

And finally, the second vertical pillar: the accent pillar. We don't need a perfect accent, but your accent needs to be good enough so people understand without making an effort.

Psychology

Learning is regulated by our emotions. We do a detailed scientific test to understand how your psychology influences your learning and communication.

Communication

Strong communication skills are key in any language. We coach you to become a great communicator, especially in international and intercultural environments.

Language

You learn the words and the grammar to express your ideas, focusing on topics relevant to you. In a way adapted to your needs, preferences and psychology.

Accent

Language skills and accent don't always g together. Your accent coach will help you make your accent more natural, so people can understand you effortlessly.

Combining these 4 pillars is the key for success.

No more guessing what works for each student.

>>> We have scientific results to understand how each student learns and uses languages.

>>> We adapt the teaching method to maximize learning for each student, so we can see the fastest possible results.

>>> And we complement with coaching in the required areas: accent, communication, anxiety, self-confidence, etc.

Basically, we guide you to follow the most direct road to your goals.

99% of language courses focus only on the language pillar. Sometimes teachers can help with the accent or with the communication skills, but remember: language teachers are not usually trained accent coaches or communication/public speaking experts. And teachers don't have a scientific way to measure how your psychology impacts your learning, so they just have try their usual methods and hope it works (sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't work!).

Block

3

The 4 language skills

These are the 4 skills that we develop when we learn a new language.

We have 2 receptive skills, where we receive information: reading and listening.

And 2 productive skills, where we produce information: writing and speaking.

The 4 language skills develop as the ceiling of the "building", on top of the other blocks.

Each skill develops following the 4 stages of skill development (block 1).

And they develop based on the 4 pillars in block 2 (for example, you cannot speak fluently if you have speaking anxiety, don't know the words and structures, or have a very strong accent).

The recommended order to develop these skills varies depending on the student, although research shows receptive skills usually come first.

Reading

Understanding texts in English is usually the easiest skill. We will work with business and technical texts until you feel comfortable.

Listening

Listening can be a difficult skill. We will work with real and adapted videos so you can understand all the different English accents.

Writing

Writing is important in business. We focus on the main written formats so you can express your ideas clearly and correctly.

Speaking

Speaking is usually the most difficult skill. It requires the language but also confidence and great communication skills.

Most courses focus on reading and speaking, with very little practice of listening and writing skills.

Our programme focuses on the skills that will help you become a FLUENT and CONFIDENT leader.

We work with technical texts in your industry, watch relevant videos with both native and foreign accents, practice writing different types of business texts such as emails and reports, and coach you to become a powerful speaker in English.

But we know all skills require practice. And the more real-life practice, the better.

So the programme also includes access to an exclusive Foreign Leaders Mastermind group.

To discuss any relevant topics. To practice your pitches and your presentations. To share tips and market intelligence.

You'll support each other to become the best possible version of yourselves, all in English.

Many language courses and teachers follow a "speak from the first day" teaching approach. Unfortunately, research shows that this approach does not work for most students. It actually creates more anxiety, with poorer and slower results (but it really depends on the student's psychology!).

Empowering foreign business leaders to maximize their global impact & express their full potential through the most effective English and communication programmes in the world.
